-> Florin Grozea, invitat in calitate de adviser ne-a explicat rolul canalelor de socializare in abordarea clientului.

This week we hosted Intro Day @Bucharest Hubb.

The event was meant to bring inside people who had no idea what Hubb is all about. And because some of you, reading this post, might also ask yourselves what is this place about, Bucharest Hubb is a coworking for playing business together.

Well, at Intro Day, we started in a cosy, warm atmosphere with a glass of wine, music and networking. We really met a lot of new and enthusiastic people. After this networking session we had the pleasure to introduce our new identity, success stories of Hubb members and reasons to start coworking.

Now, after a year Bucharest Hubb has been opened, we made an important decision: we will host and support at Hubb not only tech entrepreneurs, but also entrepreneurs and freelancers creating in any industries, including artists, social entrepreneurs and wannabe entrepreneurs, that is people looking to start a business. The reason? We want to generate diversity at Bucharest Hubb, and here’s why.

Starting this month, we also have new plans&pricing, including discounts for students and 2+ teams.

During the event, we enjoyed the presence of 4 of our members: Marius Dan (Founder of Tudor Tailor, Personal Tailor), Gabriela Jugaru (Cofounder of Briefix.com), Gratziela Iorga (doctor and serial entrepreneur) and Dragos Samoil (Marketing and Business Consultant). They told us their stories about how they had the chance to grow their businesses, to shift their perspectives, share experience, know-how, skills and good will, and to be connected to a creative community of doers. The night ended nicely with a grand tour of the Hubb, joyfully performed by Dragos.

In the end we would like to add, that being surrounded by people that motivate you and give you a chance to develop yourself and your business is our daily drive. We like to think that in order to be an entrepreneur you should enjoy the journey, because it is matters so much. Therefore, we are here to make your journey funnier, more interesting, more challenging and also…easier.

Have a glance bellow at the new Bucharest Hubb and see you there!

41 participants, 5 investors and 2 projects. These are the statistics of the first edition of Investors Day. Atmosphere, handshakes, smiles, business cards, Facebook connections, meeting set ups, feedback and friendships – are the words that described the event.
These are some of the questions that our invited investors responded one by one: How does an investor prefer to be aproached? What does he want to see in a pitch? How much are they willing to invest? How they started their first business? Long story short, it was an exciting discussion with extremely interesting, personal answers.

And here are some of the conclusions:
- Investors are open to receiving mails with projects currently underway and are open to give feedback for your startup;

- Seedmoney wants a short and comprehensive mail and expects a full mailbox in the future;

- Dragos Roua wants those who approach him to be relaxed. And he can provide them with useful advice because he has a clear picture of what’s happening on the investment market;

- Dragos Nicolaescu is a connector to other investors. He wants to help entrepreneurs to first start a business and only after that he will consider investing. Also, when starting a business you should start from something you enjoy doing a lot.

- Calin Fusu wants to be approached with a short e-mail, 2-3 lines, and if you want him to invest in your business, it surely should not be a copy but rather something new.
Now you know some of the tips and tricks on how to approach some of the investors on the Romanian market, in the meanwhile, we’ll handle the planning for the February edition and you should book it in your calendar as soon as we announce it, in order to find out more of the “looking for financing” tips and also to pitch, approach and talk to the investors directly at the event. Stay close.
P.S. What other things would you like to know about how to approach a certain investor or adviser, or investors and advisers in general?

Most people when asked why they don’t start a business, they motivate it by the lack of money. But, is this the real reason?

Turning an idea into a successful business requires creativity, skills, a healthy, realistic management, setting up objectives and following them, and definitely a right mindset. So, start this road only when you really feel you think like a winner. Make a realistic strategy which has the customer in the center, and not just the product. Because you may have an awesome product and still no business, if you fail understanding why would your potential client buy it or why wouldn’t he.

And also, if you aim for investor’s money, you should understand that they want to know that they are giving away their money to someone who understands what needs to be done and who takes action, and that their money will eventually come back.

Sharing ideas and knowledge with people who struggled in the past or are still struggling with business problems similar to yours, networking on every occasion, meeting potential business partners or clients will dramatically increase your chances to succeed as an entrepreneur.

So look intensely for opportunities to meet people, no matter if they are like you or so different that this diversity would generate breakthrough ideas and revelations.

And last, but not least, raise some funds. Come to the Investors Day!

It’s a Bucharest Hubb event that brings together investors and startups. Its main goal is to help entrepreneurs looking for funding, to receive feedback from experienced investors and online people in order to be just ready to receive the funding proposal they were craving for.

Do not miss this chance!
